About Us

Ray Williams, LMFT

People often first meet Ray when they are feeling stressed out, down, or struggling with relationships. Responsibilities at work and home may feel overwhelming, and people are too depleted to rearrange priorities.  Many times, family or friends have recommended that they “get help” for a problem or difficulty.

“I have a passion for being a husband and dad.  This value is carried forward to my relationships with clients.  Because I’ve been married with kids for a while, I realize both how difficult and rewarding day to day life with family can be.  It is so satisfying and important to keep our family relationships developing forward.  I view life as being holistic, what effects the body also effects the mind.”

“I have been married over 20 years with four kids, including two teenagers.  I’m active in church and finding ways to contribute to others.  When not working I am likely to be enjoying simple things like time with family or friends, a good meal, sitting on the deck watching a sunset or finding ways to laugh.”

Ray graduated from Adler Graduate School of Minnesota and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  He is also certified as a Parent Coach and Professional Life Coach, as well as a DBT therapist.

The success of counseling is connected to finding a good fit between therapist and client.  If the above resonates with you, please contact me to set up an appointment.  I look forward to meeting you.

What to expect from the first meeting

Doing anything the first time can be difficult.  Even if you've been in therapy in the past, it helps lower some of the jitters to know what the meeting will be like.
